The terms governing your use of the Klinik Alanna app

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Klinik Alanna mobile application and related services (the "App"), provided by Klinik Alanna ("we", "us", the "Clinic"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. About the App

The App lets you and your dependents record and track health information, receive care-related notifications, and stay connected with the Clinic. The App is a health-management support tool and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

3. Eligibility & Account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Profiles for children or other dependents may only be managed by a parent or legal guardian.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate, up-to-date information and for keeping it current as needed.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account secure, including the device, passkeys and sign-in accounts (Google or Apple) you use. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose.
  • Access, interfere with, or attempt to access another user's account, data or systems without authorisation.
  • Upload information that is false, misleading, or that is not yours to share.
  • Disrupt, damage, or place an excessive load on the App's infrastructure or security.
  • Copy, modify, or reverse-engineer any part of the App except as permitted by law.

5. Health Data & Medical Disclaimer

Information shown in the App is for personal reference and health-management purposes only. It does not replace professional medical judgment. Always seek the advice of a doctor or qualified healthcare provider for any questions regarding your health condition.

The App is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 999 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department immediately.

6. Dependents & Children

By adding a dependent, you confirm that you have the legal authority (as a parent or legal guardian) to manage their information and consent to its processing on their behalf, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, logo, text and software, is owned by Klinik Alanna or its licensors and is protected by applicable law. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for the purposes permitted in these Terms. The health data and personal information you enter remain yours.

8. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services such as Google Sign-In (and Sign in with Apple once the iOS app is available) for sign-in, and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications. Your use of those services is subject to the respective providers' terms and privacy policies.

9. Suspension & Termination

You may stop using the App and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or for legal, security or operational reasons. Subject to the medical-record retention periods required by law, information will be handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the extent permitted by law, Klinik Alanna shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App, including service interruptions or data loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
